¡Viva! 20th Spanish and Latin American Film Festival
¡Viva! is 20! For this landmark edition of our annual film fiesta, we’ve selected the cream of new filmmaking from across Spain and Spanish-speaking Latin America including Argentina, Mexico, Ecuador, Cuba and Peru.
Festival highlights include Gabriel Nesci’s charming debut comedy Días de vinilo; El Fantástico mundo de Juan Orol, the fantastic life story of the king of the B-movie; the history of women in Spanish film in documentary Con la pata quebrada; Catalan comedy of errors Menú degustació from ¡Viva! veteran director Roger Gual and post-apocalyptic disaster movie Los Últimos días.
As always, we’ll be showcasing an array of impressive debut features from first time directors, along with One Hour Intros and director Q&A’s that give you a chance to delve deeper into the Spanish-speaking film world.
