Cornerhouse

The Creative Stars spent 6 months curating and producing a fantastic one gallery show called Lost is Found which took place at Cornerhouse in Jan/ Feb 2012.

Lost is Found featured work by 9 artists who are all based in the North of England. These artists were chosen by the Creative Stars through a series of studio visits to Manchester, Salford, Sheffield and Liverpool. The group saw hundreds of artworks during their visits and the final show is a strong selection, including work that finds beauty in the redundant and discarded, explores past lives and finds new stories in transformations and fleeting identities.

Oliver Jones, one of the Creative Stars, said “Lost is Found provoked you to engage with the art, interpret it, and leave you thinking and talking about each piece of work. It incorporated sculpture, fine-line drawing, photography and even human hair! A very diverse show.”
