Creative Stars Curation
Project
OngoingPart of Creative Stars
Over the last year we have been developing the skills of 19 talented young Creative Stars aged between 14- 19 from the Greater Manchester region. Between them they have skills in visual art, design, filmmaking, photography, music, performing arts, radio production, writing and events production.
Together the Creative Stars have curated an exhibition to further their practice as part of our ongoing programme to support emerging creative talent. The young people have been split into 4 teams to manage, market and curate the exhibition. These teams are: Curation, Comms, Events and Documentation.
The young people have visited 5 different artist studios in the north of England; Manchester, Sheffield and Liverpool. During these visits the curation team saw hundreds of artist’s work and they have spent the last month working on the production of an exhibition which will feature 9 artist’s work. The exhibition is titled Lost is Found and will take place at Cornerhouse from 14 January to 19 February 2012.
