Looking to the West for a better life and hopeful of escaping the ubiquitous poverty of her homeland, young Ukrainian nurse Olga moves to Austria, finding herself a series of menial jobs. At the same time, Paul, an unemployed Austrian security guard makes the opposite journey, heading East in search of work and a new beginning.
