Synopsis

A shimmering example of late Weimar cinema, Pabst’s excellent adaptation of Franz Wedekind’s Lulu plays made a star of a failing Paramount actress named Louise Brooks, launching a new image of female sexuality that remains a modern icon to this day. Guilelessly provocative, Lulu leads men to ruin, from Berlin to London where she meets her match one foggy night. Live accompaniment will be provided by dark ambient experimentalists Cipher(Saxophonist/Flautist Theo Travis & Bassist/Sound designer Dave Sturt). www.cipher.f9.co.uk Tickets: £6.00 full / £5.00 concs
