Synopsis

Controversial for its frank depiction of homosexual themes and contemporary politics, this film follows the tragic love affair between two men set against the rapid changes facing China during the 1980s and 1990s. 

In collaboration with the Sexuality Summer School and Queer Up North 2010. Supported by the Research Institute of Cosmopolitan Cultures (RICC) at the University of Manchester, and co-presented with the Chinese Film Forum UK.
