Based around the life of Manuel Vázquez, Spain’s greatest comic book artist, Óscar Aibar’s fast-paced comedy focuses on Vázquez’ outrageous exploits in 1960s Barcelona.
Vázquez is the ultimate scrounger who, with style and panache, enjoys what he wants when he wants, dodges his creditors, mocks and cons his bosses and marries happily, collecting one family after another. All this until he meets his match in his firm’s officious accountant.
This highly enjoyable film features a compelling performance from Spanish star Santiago Segura and is one not to be missed.
