YOUTH ARTS - A DIGITAL YOUTH

What can young people achieve creatively as technology advances?

Are we advancing ourselves enough to support their creative potential?

Using social networking sites?

ENYAN, English National Youth Arts Network in partnership with Cornerhouse Manchester invites you and your colleagues in the North West Region to a FREE event which will explore the advantages of using technology creatively with young people. We will profile case studies of innovative projects within the region and will look at what young people can achieve through the creative process. Speakers will talk about resourcing projects appropriately and ensuring that we as sector professionals are open to taking on new projects, artistic concepts and approaches as we support a digital generation.

Models of best practice will be profiled and there will be some focused discussion around the issues that are unique to developing, funding and running digital youth arts projects. We will also discuss the use of social networking sites with young people and your will hear from those experienced in using these online facilities.

We are looking to create a dialogue between you and the speakers so that you can really benefit from attending. This is a free, open and informal information session for ENYAN members in the region and anyone who wants to know more. Please feel free to circulate this information to those you feel would benefit from attending.
