An opportunity to explore a subject you are interested in and meet like-minded people in a social environment. Although we may provide you with articles to read, there’s no homework we promise! Don't forget to check the recommended level too.

Artists & Cinema 2010: This beginners’ course will introduce film-goers to the concerns, strategies and histories of artists’ relationships with film and cinema. The course discusses the many responses of contemporary artists to Hollywood and art house cinema.

Artswork Course: Partnership Working and Youth Arts (APT/PW): This one day workshop shares practical techniques and approaches to working in partnerships with other organisations and individuals in order to achieve a successful youth arts project or event.

Essential Introduction to Contemporary Art: Photography: This introductory course traces the development of photography, analysing key movements, genres and techniques. This basic introduction will provide a broad basis for critical appreciation of photography within the contemporary art world.

Essential Introduction to Film Studies 2010: Led by Freelance Film Lecturer Maggie Hoffgen, this course introduces the basic areas of film, such as mise-en-scène, authorship and genre, providing the perfect insight for anyone who wants develop critical awareness of film.

Introduced Screening/ Woman on the Beach: Buy tickets; Tomorrow 18:00; We are pleased to welcome director Hong Sangsoo for an extended introduction to this one off screening of Woman on the Beach.

Unrealised Potential/ Weekly Guided Tour: Buy tickets; Wed 8 September 18:45; A special choreographed tour led by actress Amy Rudolph, threading together key aspects of each of the projects on show, concluding in Gallery 2, where Amy Rudolph will take on the persona of a hostess for the Mexican company LGD LUCK SA.

Talk/ A Conversation in Many Parts: Buy tickets; Sat 11 September 13:00; Lisa Le Feuvre & Edgar Schmitz, with Sam Ely & Lynn Harris This talk seeks to think through the productive potential of conceptual work, the role of miscommunication and the question of realization.

One Hour Intro/ Herzog vs. Lynch: Buy tickets; Thu 16 September 17:00; Maggie Hoffgen (Freelance Film Educator) will discuss the unlikely pairing of these two very different iconic auteurs and their latest collaborative project, My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done?.

Irish Study Morning (Maidin Scannáin Gaeilge): Buy tickets; Sat 18 September 10:30; This year’s Irish study morning features a specially produced film version of Na Cloigne (The Heads), an engaging thriller full of murder, lust and dark supernatural forces, orginally shown as a three-part drama on Irish language TV.
