Okay you’ve heard this before but it’s true honestly – there’s something for everyone in this section. Without leaving your chair you can read some course handouts and listen to clips from the courses. And when you come in, why not try a free gallery tour or film introduction (film ticket required). Below are a few examples of our regular events but just check the event calendar at the bottom of the page to see what's on .

  • One Hour Intro is our popular talk series that introduces a person, concept or area: maybe you want to get into contemporary Spanish cinema, discover a director or find our more about the artist whose work is being shown? .
  • Courses: an opportunity to explore a subject you are interested in and meet like-minded people in a social environment. They start in September, January and April/May and last up to 8 weeks. Although we may provide you with articles to read, there’s no homework we promise! Don't forget to check the recommended level too. Bookings for courses are made through our Box Office on 0161 200 1500 (open for bookings: 12.00 - 20.00).
