This catalogue has been published to accompany the first in a series of special exhibitions at the newly renovated Whitechapel Art Gallery, drawn from the British Council Collection, each selected by guest curators.
The exhibition Passports is curated by Michael Craig-Martin and Andrea Rose and it includes key works in the British Council Collection from artists such as Henry Moore, Ben Nicholson, Graham Sutherland to David Hockney, Bridget Riley, Anish Kapoor, Damien Hirst and Chris Ofili.
This catalogue is of special significance as it is being produced on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the British Council.
