Part of ¡Viva! 18th Spanish and Latin American Film Festival, Minerva Cuevas: Landings

Minerva Cuevas will lead this guided tour in person, introducing you to her work in Gallery 1 as part of ¡Viva! 2012. Using second-hand materials and magazines including National Geographic as sources, Cuevas also generates conceptual collages, in which nature is portrayed as something that is bought and sold either as an “experience” or as a “natural resource” and taking us to areas of science and art where extinction processes are intimated.
