LOOP SYSTEMS

Each of our 3 cinema auditoria is equipped with an induction loop system for customers who use hearing aids. We have a portable induction loop system at our Box Office. Portable loop systems are also available on request for use in our education spaces.

We aim to show films with some Caption Subtitled screenings whenever possible. Click on the FAQs link on the left side of this page for more information about this facility.

IN TOUCH SCREENINGS

New releases are not always available with Caption Subtitles. To make sure that at least one film a month is available to our audiences with this facility, we're running our regular accessible screening, in association with "In Touch". On the last Sunday of every month at midday, you will be guaranteed a film with Caption Subtitles!

Foreign Films with English Subtitles

The following upcoming foreign-language films have English subtitles throughout. Whilst they do not offer the same descriptive content as Closed Captioning, the dialogue is completely subtitled.

Breathless: Dgongpari; Buy tickets; Next showing Today 17:20; Gangster and goon for hire Soon-Hong finds possible salvation in his relationship with schoolgirl Han Yeon-Heui. With a powerful lead performance from the director himself this gritty and violent gangster film is surprisingly moving.

A Prophet: Un prophète; Buy tickets; Next showing Today 16:45; The Grand Prix winner at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, A Prophet is the absorbing and compelling tale of wayward Arab youth Malik as he struggles to adapt to and survive the harsh realities of prison life.

Amos Oz: The Nature of Dreams: Buy tickets; Next showing Sun 28 February 16:00; This eloquent documentary evaluates Israel’s history and politics as assessed by writer and journalist Amos Oz, an advocate for a two-state solution to the Israeli Palestinian conflict.

Eli and Ben: Buy tickets; Next showing Thu 25 February 18:30; Eli is a mischievous 12 year old with the usual youthful preoccupations until his beloved father, Ben, is arrested on suspicion of accepting bribes and becomes determined to prove his father’s innocence.

Footsteps: Buy tickets; Next showing Sun 21 February 15:50; Arriving in Paris’ burgeoning Belleville district in 1968, good-hearted Felix reluctantly struggles to provide for his family, until he meets Sephardi gangster Serge who has big plans for his criminal career.

Micmacs: (Micmacs à tire-larigot); Showing from Fri 26 February; From the director of Amélie comes another distinctive cinematic satire. Bazil plans to destroy two big weapon manufacturers, with the help of his friends.

Po-lin: Buy tickets; Next showing Wed 24 February 18:30; Set to a haunting klezmer-inflected score, this archive footage shows Poland in 1939 evoking a memorable record of a world that would be utterly destroyed in the Holocaust.

The Girl on The Train: Buy tickets; Next showing Tue 23 February 20:20; Featuring a first-rate cast, this provocative film takes its lead from a real-life media storm in which a young woman fabricates a tale that she is the victim of an anti-Semitic attack, with extreme personal and political ramifications.

The Headless Woman: Showing from Fri 19 February; Verónica is a well-to-do, middle-aged dentist whose life becomes plagued with doubt following her involvement in a possible hit-and-run accident.

Tokyo Story: Tokyo Monogatari; Buy tickets; Next showing Sun 28 February 12:00; An elderly couple decide to visit their children in bustling post-war Tokyo, only to find themselves confronted by indifference, ingratitude and selfishness. An emotionally moving story of everyday life. A must see for all world cinema fans!
